Grundy County Residents — We Need Your Feedback!
Grundy Area PADS has launched the Winter Shelter Community Support Survey to understand local needs and gather input on a potential winter shelter in Grundy County. Your feedback will help guide whether we move forward with a zoning variance request for the 2026–2027 season.
Please take a moment to complete the survey and share it with others. All responses are confidential. Email is required only to ensure each survey comes from a unique participant and to protect the integrity of the results.

Our Journey: From Humble Beginnings to Transforming Lives
Since 2004, Grundy Area PADS has been dedicated to supporting individuals facing housing instability in our community. What started as a group of citizens providing meals has grown into a multi-faceted organization, offering shelter, housing, and a path to self-sufficiency. From our early days of seasonal shelter in local churches to the creation of our Phoenix Rising Rapid Rehousing program, we've continued to evolve in response to the needs of those we serve. Our expansion into Kendall County and ongoing commitment to making a lasting impact in the lives of individuals facing housing instability reflect the growth and heart of our mission.

#GiveGrundy Community Partners
Phil Wardlow, Vice President, of Grundy Area PADS; and Eric Fisher, Executive Director, of We Care of Grundy County, worked together on a grant that provides funding for both organizations that will help people in Grundy County who are experiencing homelessness find shelter and those who need help to prevent homelessness through rent assistance.
